LASH LIFTS
Leeds, West Yorkshire
What is a lash lift?
A lash lift, or otherwise known a “perm” acts as a facelift for your poker-straight lash hairs.
It is a professional service that changes the natural curl pattern of your lashes with the help of a silicone shield which doubles up as a guard and a curling rod, and a special lifting and fixing solution.

FAQ
What is the process of a lash lift?
Every treatment at our salon in Leeds, West Yorkshire begins with a thorough consultation to determine what kind of look you’re aiming for with your lash lift. Based on your answer we then choose the perfect size silicone shield to shape your lashes. Once on the bed, be prepared to lie down with your eyes closed for about 60 minutes.
We start your treatment by cleansing your eye area with a gentle lash shampoo to ensure it's squeaky clean and free from any oil or makeup. We then apply a lash primer to ensure your lashes are free from any oils that could act as a barrier. Next up, we carefully place the silicone shield onto your eyelids, gently curling your natural lashes over it and securing them in place with a gentle adhesive. Once everything is in position, we apply a lifting lotion to break down the natural bonds in your lashes, allowing them to conform beautifully to the curling rod. Then, a setting lotion is applied to rebuild the bonds and set that gorgeous new lash shape into place. To add some extra oomph, we tint both your top and bottom lashes and finish off with a nourishing lash serum to keep them healthy and happy after the treatment.
Before your lash lift appointment can go ahead at our Leeds salon, we'll need you to do a quick patch test 48 hours in advance, just to ensure your skin isn't sensitive to the solution.
Is lash lift safe?
Generally-speaking, lash lifts are safe in the hands of an experienced professional who is certified to lift the lashes in the most sanitised and safe way. But there are potential hazards to take into account. The chemical solution used can break down the proteins of the lashes making them weaker and more prone to falling out. The solution can also cause inflammation and irritation to the eyelid causing redness, swelling and potential for blistering.
For this reason, it's important to do your research and have a patch test at least 24 hours before your first lash lift appointment. A little of the lifting solution will be applied on your inner forearm and, if irritation occurs, heed the warning that this treatment isn't for you.
It goes without saying that you should never attempt to do your own lash lift at home, as you could damage your eyesight if you accidentally get the formula in your eyes. If the solution enters the eye, there can be irritation or worse, a chemical burn, which may affect vision long term. Furthermore, there are many unregulated perming solutions available in the market with ingredients that can cause inflammation, redness and puffiness. Our advice is to always seek professionals for your lash lifting treatments.
